Ray Sater
Ray Sater is a garden designer familiar with the Memphis and Mid-south culture and climate
including the
needs that it requires for outdoor living.
Before entering into a career as a garden designer Ray had an intuitive passion for art and design.
Working at a local nursery he developed a knowledge of plant material indigenous to the
south. Soon his creative abilities and new found knowledge in plant material came together
giving him a clear direction of which career path he wanted to take. His natural talents
afforded him the opportunity to work closely with many talented landscape architects and
designers.
Throughout Ray’s career as a garden designer he has had several projects published
in local home and garden magazines.
Thirteen years into his career he continues to grow in his knowledge and passion in the
design/ build industry. Ray looks at his job as finding not just business opportunities but design
opportunities .He considers his passion for garden architecture an art in which he creates
space for people to experience and enjoy life.
