Jamye Gates
Jamye Gates has been a designer with Good Winds for seven years. She has an undergraduate degree in
interior architecture from the School of Architecture at Auburn University. With her passion for garden
design and her knowledge of functional architectural spaces, Jamye is highly qualified to meet the
desires of her clients who want beautiful outdoor living spaces as well as sensual gardens. Her
work has been featured in both local and national publications.
Prior to creating and installing garden designs with Good Winds, Jamye’s career was rich with
diversity. She
worked with architectural and engineering firms in Washington, DC and taught
design at Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado.
Jamye has two children (Emily 28 and Sally 26) with her husband Larry. While raising her children, she
successfully established herself as a freelance landscape designer, architectural renovator, award
winning watercolorist and a published author/artist.
